Our Process

From the moment that you pick up the phone or ping over an email, we will be on your side, creating you the beautiful bespoke loft conversion or extension of your dreams. We take care of the whole process, from obtaining planning permission, to designing the perfect space alongside you and finally creating your new space. 

Step 1: Planning and permissions

Careful planning is crucial to the success of any project, and gives all ideas a solid foundation to build on. Here at JRD Homes, we are on board during this important stage, with our work covering architect plans and planning submissions to local councils. Our team includes approved structural engineers who will design your bespoke extension or conversion. Most importantly, you will have input and oversight throughout the whole planning stage, to ensure that you get exactly the product that you want.

Step 2: The build 

This is the really exciting part - the time when you see your long-dreamed of project begin to take shape. From erecting timber frames to constructing loft conversions, creating kitchen spaces to putting up double storey extensions, we take care of each and every part of the job. That includes carpentry work, often the part where you can really inject your personality and style into a project. We have years of experience in creating stunning bespoke pieces, including internal and external doors, cabinets, glazed staircases and handrails. We take a huge amount of pride in the quality of our work, and offer a guarantee that projects will be completed within 6 weeks of the build starting.

Step 3: Enjoy your new and improved home!

The day has finally come. After all the dreaming, the planning and anxiously watching your project come together, it’s time for us to pack up our tools and for you to relax and enjoy the new chapter in your home’s history. But even when we leave the site for the final time, we don’t disappear and simply leave you to it. All of our work is guaranteed for 25 years, so you can rest easy that we’re looking out for you and your project, long after our vans have left your driveway.
